This is a very well written book that takes the reader back in time to the northwest Iowa area of the 1940s. This is a time period that reflects how life was before cell phones, TVs, and computers. The author does a nice job of creating a narrators voice that is true to young Billy. As you read the book, it feels very much like you are sitting beside young Billy. You will image yourself listening directly to him tell his story. Reading this book will draw you in by the interesting stories.
